Long description: Pickle has never met another guinea pig. Not one. Today she is going to meet a whole herd. Room P301 heads to the Museum of Science and Nature for giant dinosaur bones, a hair-raising electricity lab, a sky full of stars, and one very famous piece of fossilized dinosaur poop — but Pickle only cares about the room that wheeks. Then her tutu slips off deep in the herd, and suddenly every white-and-brown guinea pig looks exactly like her. The bus leaves in ten minutes, and Blake has to stop searching for the tutu and remember what actually makes her friend one of a kind. A funny, warm chapter book about big adventures, careful helpers, and being known for what you do rather than what you wear, told in 13 short chapters with full-color illustrations throughout.

About the author

Blake Dietz wrote the first Pickle book when she was 9 years old, and she has loved making books since she was 7. Pickle and the Field Trip Fiasco is her third Pickle book and her fourth book overall. She loves reading, writing stories, and dreaming up funny adventures.

How the books are made: the Pickle series is a family project. Blake originates the stories and develops the text with family and AI assistance, then edits and approves the final story; the illustrations are created with AI assistance. This matches the disclosure on each book's copyright page and in the publisher listing.
