Pickle's Activity Corner

Straight from the backs of the books: grab paper and something that draws, or just start hunting.

Came from the back of Book 3? The Spot the Difference puzzle and its answers are down here. There is also a brand new museum maze that is not in any of the books.

Learn to Draw

Six easy steps each. Start with a potato or an oval, end with a friend. When you're done, ask a grown-up to put your drawing on the Art Wall!

Finished a drawing?

Pickle, Waffles, or a dinosaur that is entirely your own idea. Ask a grown-up to snap a photo and send it in, and we'll hang it on Pickle's Art Wall.

Grown-ups: email a drawing

Grown-ups only, please: a parent or guardian must send the drawing, which confirms we may share it here. First names only — never include a child's photo, last name, school, or location.

Her very favorite game

Find Pickle!

Pickle loves to hide. Right now she is tucked away somewhere in Room P301, somewhere very sneaky. Can you find her? And while you look, can you also spot…

A busy, cozy classroom corner full of cubbies, backpacks, shelves, plants, desks, and a beanbag. Somewhere in here, Pickle is hiding.

Museum day puzzle

Spot the 6 Differences!

These two museum pictures look almost the same. But six little things changed. Tap each one you find on either picture, and it gets circled on both. Bonus: can you find Pickle in the crowd?

Picture 1
A busy museum hall. Blake holds Pickle while Brody stands beside her with his hair on end, Emma sits drawing on the floor, five guinea pigs wander the shiny tiles, a huge T. rex skeleton stands behind them between two purple banners, and a fossil sits in a glass case on the right.
Picture 2
The same museum hall as Picture 1, with six small details quietly changed.

Stuck? Show me the answers

Opening this circles all six on the pictures above, in gold.

  1. Picture 2 lost one gold dot from the tall purple banner on the right.
  2. Picture 2's T. rex tail is missing a bone near the tip.
  3. Picture 2 has an extra post in the railing on the far left.
  4. Picture 2 lost the tip off one of Brody's hoodie drawstrings.
  5. The fossil in the glass case grew a second lump in Picture 2.
  6. The big guinea pig at the front has a floppy ear in Picture 2.

The bonus: Pickle is the guinea pig Blake is holding. Look for her sparkly pink tutu.

Pickle's Museum Maze

This one is not in any of the books. Pickle has wandered off again, and the guinea pig room is all the way on the other side of the museum. Grab a pencil and get her home. Watch out though: there is only one way through, and every snack Pickle can smell is down a wrong turn.

Pickle's Museum Maze: a maze puzzle with Pickle's face at the start in the top left and a pile of hay marking the guinea pig room at the bottom right. A strawberry, a carrot and a dandelion sit at the ends of three wrong turns.

Stuck? Show me the way through

Eighty-seven little steps, and not one wrong turn.

The same maze with the one correct route drawn in pink from Pickle at the top left, winding down to the guinea pig room at the bottom right, going nowhere near any of the three snacks.
